Master of Science in Education, Option in Online Teaching and Learning
Admissions
Admission Requirements
For admission into the Master of Science in Education with an option in Online Teaching and Learning degree program, students must:
- Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Have earned a GPA of 3.0 in the last 90 quarter units (or semester equivalent) of upper-division, post-baccalaureate and graduate-level course-work
- Have filed all graduate application materials with Enrollment Services
- Provide one official copy of transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
Students who completed their undergraduate degree internationally also must have a TOEFL score of 550 on paper test or 213 on computerized test OR have an official transcript or letter from the college or university certifying that English was the language of instruction. This requirement only applies to international students from countries where English is not the official language.
Applying to the Program
Students must apply for the M.S. in Education with an option in Online Teaching and Learning through the regular Cal State East Bay graduate admissions process. For more information, visit the Graduate Admissions Web site or apply online through CSUMentor.
Applying students also must send a "letter of intent" to Dr. Nan Chico. Please include a description of any relevant work or educational background, your future goals and why you'd like to be in our MS-OTL program. Please send your letter to:

Tuition Costs
The total estimated cost of the M.S. in Education with an option in Online Teaching and Learning degree program is $10,980 for all students, regardless of residency. Please note that program tuition and fees are subject to change at any time. Each course in the program has a tuition cost associated with it; tuition for each course is due only when you register for that course.
